Allergies can destroy your social life. Although equally dangerous, it’s different if you have food or allergy. But the sort that gives you an ugly reaction to what you inhale is a total anti-social illness.
There are people whose asthma attacks are triggered by allergens that are inhaled. Common inhaled allergens may include mold, pollen, insect particles, and dust mites.
Whatever kind you have, all allergies are serious. But the type of allergy that sets off a reaction to what you breathe in is the worst social life killer. If you just avoid taking or eating those things that trigger your drug and food allergy, you will be all right. But if you have inhaled allergies, you don’t have control on what the air around you carries.
What if a special someone asks you for an outing but you know you won’t be able to enjoy the beautiful surrounding because you will for certain wind up sneezing continuously after inhaling the nearby flowers’ pollens?
It’s the same unfortunate result when friends ask you to go on a road trip in a convertible with them. You know you won’t be able to enjoy it because even a speck of inhaled dust could set off a vicious response. There are even those who can’t give and receive flowers because that would give them a bout of watery eyes and runny nose. Pets are likewise a no-no at home because they can also spark your allergy.
And that’s how nasal allergies destroy your social life.
And those are only the “mild” symptoms! When you have an allergy, your fun is restricted. It’s impossible to relish a romantic afternoon outing or a road trip with friends because you know what will happen.
You can take antihistamines to fight allergic reactions, but be taking extra care though. Some, if not most, can render you sleepy. While they have their downside, antihistamines are still your quickest and soundest bet in reversing the effects of your allergy. The only thing that can heal your nasal allergy totally is to avoid having them in the first place.
Just to be safe, equip yourself with antihistamines all the time. Pick Out the non-drowsy brand if you can find any. You never know when your allergy will start so it won’t hurt to be prepared. Also, see a physician. He may still know something else that can aid you rid of your allergy.
