There are various probes used in the dental office as well such as the straight probe, sickle probe and the periodontal probe. The sickle probe was once used to allow dentists to see how much tooth decay had occurred but, it has since been used more for enhancing tactile sensations in the mouth.

In 1989, a no scalpel vasectomy gained popularity. Based on a procedure developed in China by Dr. Li Shunquiang, this method of vasectomy was far preferred to the “cut-’em-open” method of the past. However, it did still involve a needle being injected into the base of the penis, which most men found terrifying.

Tonsillitis is a medical name for an infection of the tonsils. Everybody shall have at one time experienced this type of throat infection. Tonsils are tissues within the throat area and directly on top of and at the back the tongue. It is susceptible to exposure to viruses as well as bacteria. Inflammation of the tonsils caused by infection is a painful condition that may require immediate treatment.
