I the 1940’s there was a shortage of nurses in the US and several other countries. Because of this shortage the travel nursing industry was developed. The type of work entails nurses traveling away from home and taking short term employment at another place. Do to the extreme shortage of nurses in other countries as well as the US this is a high demand employment opportunity.

The development of travel nursing jobs was catalyzed by shortage of nurses and therefore they travel to work temporarily on short term nursing positions. For example the current deep shortage of nurses in the US has led to increase in this position need. Nurse recruitment agencies offer incentives such as higher wages, furnished houses, assistance in relocation and bonuses in order to recruit qualified staff.

Speech pathologist jobs are as competitive as any other jobs. The only word that can come close to describe the nature of the job is the word demanding. This is simply because, one has to give his or her best in order to succeed. If you are already in the profession, then you certainly know how demanding it can be. Sometimes, one may even feel like quitting or taking another course. However, giving up could just be a sign that you do not like your job.
