Each year more and more people need to start wearing glasses to enhance their eyesight. Glasses are a thing that people have turned to as soon as they have trouble reading material or seeing far distances. But according to Doctor William Bates, the only thing glasses do is make your vision worse. Making use of research done by Doctor Bates years ago, Duke Peterson has created a program to help individuals get their 20/20 vision back without glasses and surgery. His brand-new program is known as “Vision Without Glasses”.

Keratoconus sufferers can take comfort in the new trials that have found that cross-linking helps keratoconus. Affecting one person in every thousand, this degenerative disease in the eye causes the part of the eye known as the cornea to change its shape from a cone into a curve. This exciting new procedure has been shown to stop that regression.

A corneal disorder, keratoconus, is a progressive eye condition involving the connective tissue, allowing thinning of the structure that results in alteration from the normal curved shape to a cone shaped cornea. The causes are unknown, but genetic propensity is implicated in these changes with a large number occurring in the South Asian populace and Downs syndrome. Studies show that allergies effecting the eyes are possibly related when the patient develops “eye rubbing” behavior. Treatments for keratoconus give patients a normal, completely functional life.
