Doctors that want to practice Health care on a temporary basis are referred to Locum Tenens. These are doctors that work in different practices when the head doctor, or owner of the practice, is away. Many such practices are in need of temporary help. This could be risky as there may be periods of inactivity due to lack of work being available. This would also mean no money during these periods of inactivity.

Physicians are limited to the point where there is just not enough of them to go around. To fill the gap that is left, many are choosing a career in the field of nurse practitioner jobs. A masters or Doctoral degree is required to practice in this field. You can be certified to practice in all the of the United States. Acceptance by the public is becoming more and more recognized with each passing day.

They may be thought of as the primary healthcare provider for the patient. These nurses really play an important role in the system of our healthcare. Nurse practitioner jobs range from doctors offices to emergency rooms to hospice care.
